MS5837 digital absolute pressure sensor

MS5837 digital absolute pressure sensor

AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz, January 2022 – With the air pressure sensor MS5837, AMSYS offers two pressure range variants of a miniaturized pressure sensor for absolute pressure with high resolution. The sensors are calibrated and provide the measured values as I²C digital out-put signal.

The reflowable air pressure sensors are designed for pressure ranges of 300–1’200 mbar (MS5837-02BA03) and 0–30 bar (MS5837-30BA) and are protected with a gel coating. In addition to the pressure, they also measure the temperature.

The MS5837 consist of a piezoresistive pressure cell and an amplifier A/D-interface-IC, housed in a QFN package (3.3 x 3.3 x 2.75 mm³). The metal top protects the electronic components and facilitates O-ring mounting.

The sensors convert the measured pressure- and temperature-dependent signal of the measuring cell into a 24-bit data word, then stored in the EPROM. In addition, 6 individual coefficients are stored, allowing a highly accurate software correction for the pressure and temperature measurement by an external microprocessor. The I²C interface is used for serial communication with the microprocessor.

MS5837 sensors are intended for applications within a digital system. With an existing processor at system level, temperature can be easily calculated.

AMSYS offers as further variants the MS5839, with chlorine-resistant gel protection and a grove board that can be used to quickly evaluate sensors and build prototypes.

More Releases from AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG

IntraSense – world's smallest in-vivo pressure sensor for catheter
AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG, November 2021 - With the IntraSense, AMSYS presents the smallest in-vivo pressure sensor for integration into catheters with only 1 French diameter. Measuring only 750 μm × 220 μm × 75 μm, the sensor already has a highly flexible, fully protected cable connected for ease of use. The sensor is designed to operate in air and saline fluids such as blood, cerebro-spinal fluid or urine.
ME790 made from ceramics – media resistant pressure sensor for in-dustry & bui …
AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz, April 2021 – Ceramic pressure sensors are used in conjunction with liquid or aggressive media respectively high pressures. AMSYS ( offers the ratiometric ME790 with a calibrated, temperature compensated output signal of 0.5 - 4.5 V for pressures from 3 to 400 bar (optionally 600 bar). Its monolithic design makes the ME790 particularly robust on the one hand, while on the other hand it allows
AMS 4516 – the smallest wireless differential pressure sensor
AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG now presents an extremely compact differential pressure transmitter with Bluetooth transmission of measurement data. This sensor is suitable for differential pressure measurement and filter monitoring in situations where wired retrofitting would be difficult. The new pressure transmitter enables measurement data to be read out by a number of different devices – also in places that are difficult to access or where mobile data retrieval is
Wireless pressure sensor
AMSYS presents the barometric wireless pressure sensors of the AMS 4506 series in a small, compact and robust plastic housing (35 x 25 x 13.5 mm³). The wireless pressure sensor AMS 4506 from AMSYS is suitable for barometric pressure measurement and vacuum monitoring. The particular advantage of this wireless sensor is that it can be used in places that are difficult to access, such as wind turbines, in applications that
