ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH celebrates birthday

Halver, 25 February 2013 – ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH became 30 years old in February 2013. The German family enterprise has evolved from a small metal-working business to an internationally- renowned and operating mid-sized company over the years. Today, with nearly 500 employees, the connectivity- and housing technology specialist provides its innovative- and qualitatively high-grade solutions worldwide.

On 15 February 1983, Eugen Schmidt, Werner Turck, Hans Timptner, and Sigrid Dockhorn-Timptner laid the cornerstone for today’s ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH. Back then, the company focused on metal-working to start with. As of 1985, plastic components and connectors were, at first, exclusively produced for Turck. In the course of the same year, the rebranding to ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH was effected.

Short after that, the shareholders decided that ESCHA should not only exclusively produce for Turck, but also deal with general market demand and offer its products under its own brand. In the following years, ESCHA evolved from a regionally orientated small company to a worldwide operating mid-sized enterprise with sales partners and production sites at home base in Halver and Czech Republic as well as licensed production in USA and Mexico.

Today, ESCHA offers industrial connectivity- and housing technology for various sectors and applications. In addition to a wide product range for standard applications in the field of the automation industry, the company primarily focuses on customized solutions for special applications including e.g. product lines for LED connectivity or components for glass facade technology.

Through its experienced employees, a modern tool shop, and own production sites, ESCHA has evolved into a market orientated- and firmly established company in the marketplace in the past 30 years. With approximately 500 employees, the company has respectively generated an annual turnover of about 40 million Euros in the last two years.

After initially establishing the preconditions for growth and stability on the European market through an increase in capacity and production in Halver as well as at the Czechian international production site in 2012, the global expansion will be in the center of the company activities in the coming months and years. Already in December 2012, ESCHA set up own sales- and production company in China. The preparations are currently running at full speed so that the mid-sized company can soon operate on the Chinese market with own sales team.

In view of its customized product portfolio, the upcoming new developments, the initiated strategic globalization, motivated and professional workforce, ESCHA is well geared up for the coming years.
