DÜSSELDORF – The quality of an Inkjet print system for industrial coding is not only determined by the quality of the print itself, but also by how simple the system is to operate and how efficiently it consumes operating resources. When it comes to maintenance, it is acutely apparent how the design of a device directly impacts the resulting downtimes. To keep downtimes to an absolute minimum, a well thought-out design in terms of parts replacement is essential.

For example, the RX-Inkjet print systems from Hitachi Europe GmbH, Düsseldorf, are fitted with filters that are particularly easy to replace and patented filter connections. This makes replacing filters very quick, clean and easy. The filters are located together with the ink and solvent channels in a kind of screw cap. To replace the filter, all you need to do is unscrew the cap and replace it with a new one. The nozzle connections are also very easy and quick to disconnect and reattach. The connections are small handles that simply have to be inserted and turned by 90°. That's all it takes to create a tightly sealed frictional connection. The opening and closing procedure only takes a few seconds and there is no need for tools or excessive force.

What's more, the device is designed in such a way that all the system parts can be replaced individually. It is not made up of interconnected modules that have to be replaced completely if one part fails. Every component can be ordered and replaced separately. This means there are no unnecessary costs for the customer.
