Medical Pharma starts commercialization in Germany with exclusive strategic partnership for the distribution of a new medical cannabis product from Canada

Medical Pharma Resource GmbH (Medical Pharma) based in Langenfeld (Rhld.) is starting with exclusive strategic partnership to distribute a new medical cannabis product on the German market. With a view to providing this high-quality medicine to patients throughout Germany via pharmacies, Medical Pharma has signed an exclusive partnership with Beacon Medical Germany GmbH.

Medical Pharma promotes high quality cannabis products-based treatment methods that target unmet medical needs of patients. The company sees great potential in the treatment of various disease symptoms through numerous international research results on phytocannabinoids.

Since the company was founded, national and international collaborations have been established in this regard with partners in the areas of analytical testing, narcotics manufacturing, narcotics storage, cannabis producers and logistics. Medical Pharma is still in international negotiations with various producers from different countries to import, manufacture and distribute products under the brand name "MPRCanna®" and partner products.

In line with this, the company prepared internally for the granting of the manufacturing license according to § 13 AMG and for the import license according to § 72 AMG. The preparations were completed at the end of October 2021. The company is currently awaiting written confirmation of the date for the inspection by the authorities.

By the end of February 2022, Medical Pharma is expected to have all licenses to import its own products and those of its partners.

The exclusive partner, Beacon Medical Germany GmbH, is a German subsidiary of Canada-based VIVO Cannabis Inc.

The exchange listed VIVO Cannabis Inc. is a Canadian company that is active in the cultivation, production and marketing of cannabis products. Its subsidiary ABcann Medicinals owns a medical cannabis flower production facility in Napanee - Ontario, Canada. In March ABcann Medicinals' Vanluven facility has received EU-GMP certification in accordance with GMP Vol. 4 - Part 1, by the Brandenburg Health Authority, the State Office for Occupational Safety, Consumer Protection and Health ("LAVG "). The certification allows VIVO, through ABcann Medicinals, to export products for sale in European and other markets for which products must be manufactured according to strict GMP standards.

At the same time, Beacon Medical Germany GmbH received an import license from the authority to import Napanee medical cannabis flowers into Germany and the EU.
