It’s official – we’ve arrived in Diglis

Members of staff at Diglis-based technology company Postcode Anywhere are thrilled that they have now completed the move to their new waterside location.

Directors and employees thought their first day in their new working environment presented them with an ideal opportunity of saying a big ‘thank you’ to the army of building contractors, interior designers and those providing other support services.

The company’s move to new state-of-the-art office in Taylor Wimpey’s £75 million ‘flagship’ Waterside development at Diglis Basin, was quite a challenge for the various companies involved in the project’s completion as they turned it around in record time.

Amongst the main specialists that have worked exceptionally hard to ensure that the work was completed on time and on budget, was Birmingham-based project managers, Fusion Building Consultancy and Stratford-upon-Avon based, Squaredot, who provided the very innovative interiors designs.

David Kramer from Squaredot said: “The project has not been without its challenges as it involved converting three separate units into one which makes the provision of essential services such as water and power complex elements to manage.

“However the camaraderie between everyone involved has been fantastic and we have worked together as one cohesive and focused team sharing the same objective which was to get the job done to a high specification within a very short lead-time.”

Quantum Construction provided the main contractual element of the building work with support from a wide range of subcontractors including Redditch-based M Fitzgerald Brickworks.

Postcode Anywhere’s managing director Guy Mucklow explains that the project was an ambitious and complex one and all involved should be applauded for their patience, understanding and professionalism.
He said: “The last few weeks of any major refurbishment project can be highly pressurised work environments with different elements needing to work closely together to get the job done on time.

“Our refurbishment was more complex than most because of the extensive cabling required to support our IT functions. We have used over 10 km on cable in the office and have had to work closely with other major suppliers like BT to ensure that we have the required bandwidth and resilience to support our operations. We are very grateful to our team of contractors and service providers who have all worked exceptionally hard to deliver a workplace that all of us at Postcode Anywhere can be extremely proud of.”
