Isabelle Gardelle-Organe Lumineux

Isabelle Gardelle-Organe Lumineux

French artist Isabelle Gardelle creates highly emotive paintings which are detailed and meticulous yet entirely free. Imbued with a sense of spirituality and purpose, each image is vast in scope, defined by a masterful use of line and form. Colors are bold or muted, depending on the mood the artist is trying to convey. Compositions create a sense of drama and interest, drawing the viewer in beyond the recognizable forms to an understanding of the broader meanings contained within each piece. Recently, Isabelle Gardelle made the shift to canvas after more than twenty five years of wood decorative painting. She still begins the painting process with pencil drawings on paper, allowing the subject to take shape before she transfers it to paint and canvas. Her brush allows her freedom of creativity and movement, resulting in highly spontaneous pieces that are reflective of both the artist’s inner and outer worlds.
Isabelle Gardelle currently lives and works in Sucy en Brie, just outside Paris. She received a first place painter’s award from the Salon d’Automne des Peintres de Villecresne.
