SAP-Virus protection – now also for HP-UX
Walldorf, July 26th, 2007 - BowBridge Software, Walldorf, Germany based SAP Content Security manufacturer announces the immediate availability of the successful „AntiVirus Bridge“ family of products on HP-UX 11i.
SAP customers worldwide appreciate the high performance and stability of HP-UX based servers and deploy mission critical ERP-solutions on this platform.
With SAP systems being implemented as Web portals, granting access to SAP applications over the Internet, the risk of storing virus-infected files inside the SAP database increases. Standard virus protection solutions cannot effectively secure uploads and downloads to and from SAP servers, potentially risking to infect internal or external users with files stored in the SAP database.
Even government authorities, such as the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) explicitly recommend to implement dedicated virus protection in SAP portal scenarios.
The SAP-certified AntiVirus Bridge technology allows easy integration of existing virus protection infrastructure to also secure SAP applications in ABAP in Java. Being able to leverage standard anti-virus products to protect data from within the SAP application-layer is unique to BowBridge.
