Gleistein Ropes and the Kloska Group sign distribution agreement

Gleistein Ropes and the Kloska Group join forces to better serve their shipping company and shipyard clients in Germany. The distribution deal sets out that Gleistein manufactures ropes for distribution by Kloska. Besides enabling distribution of renowned Gleistein products such as DynaOne® and WinchMaster, the agreement also involves the manufacture of an exclusive product line for Kloska bearing the name UKTA Marine. “This distribution partnership agreement allows each of our companies to concentrate on their core competencies and thereby ensures customers in the German commercial marine market not only benefit from premium solutions but also improved all-round service,” explains Klaus Walther, Managing Director and Market Manager at Gleistein Ropes.

Gleistein has been manufacturing ropes since 1824 and is the oldest family industrial company in Bremen (Germany). Together with its Trencin (Slovakia) plant the company boasts two of the most modern rope manufacturing facilities in the world with a total production area of more than 17,000m².
