Scope’s ConSCIse platform wins Appreciation Award at ‘CSI Awards for Excellence in IT 2012’
Scope eKnowledge Center (Scope), a leading provider of content enhancement and knowledge services, is pleased to announce that its unique content abstraction platform, ConSCIse, has been awarded the Appreciation Award in the “Education & eLearning - Products & Solutions” category at the recently announced “CSI Awards for Excellence in IT 2012”.“CSI Awards for Excellence in IT” are instituted to acknowledge and motivate individuals and organizations working in private and public sector. Efforts need to be recognized and appreciated to bring out the best of the innovations, performance, achievements and excellence. The Computer Society of India (CSI) envisions following the path of excellence by rewarding achievements and benchmark excellence.
Scope competed with over 20 companies in the industry. The winners were announced on December 1, 2012, in a grand finale held in Kolkata, India.
Scope’s ConSCIse automatically extracts keywords from the document based on sophisticated and appropriate statistical and linguistic rules. This proprietary technology has been developed based on an analysis of the common traits of effective abstracts of unstructured documents from Scope’s extensive experience. ConSCIse cost effectively generates abstracts and keywords from professional and scholarly literature, such as books, book chapters, journal articles, patents, conference proceedings, clinical summaries and other documents.
Commenting on this achievement, Tram Venkatraman, Scope’s President, said, “We are honored that ConSCIse has been recognized at the ‘CSI Awards for Excellence in IT’ this year. This is another validation of Scope’s productization strategy. Congratulations to Team Prodigy™, our product lab for fostering innovation and achieving scale, on this achievement.”
Frank Stumpf, Scope Board Member added, “As publishers and other information providers are increasingly seeking enriched metadata to enhance discoverability of content, Scope believes ConSCIse is a very attractive solution.”
M. A. Eswaran, Scope’s Senior Vice-President, said, “ConSCIse scans important sentences from input documents and generates keyword-rich, SEO-friendly summaries automatically. We are extremely honored to have our product recognized by the Computer Society of India. This award further consolidates our position as a technology platforms driven service organization leveraging human skills and dedicated to providing cost-effective content enhancement and knowledge services to the global information industry.”
