Beyond The Void hit Studio for album number 3

Munich's dark rockers Beyond The Void enter studio this week to record their 3rd album. Lately, the band has drawn attention to themselves by being the 1st german band to tour in Second Life. Furthermore, they supported bands like Leaves Eyes, Xandria, Anathema, The Cruxshadows and Lacrimas Profundere (for which Beyond The Void singer Daniel helped out as substitute singer on e.g. the Crematory tour). This Friday drum recordings start at the Weltraum Studio (e.g. Eisbrecher, Killerpilze), for the first time with new pro drummer Claus (who studied drums in L.A. and under Alex Holzwarth of Rhapsody/Sieges Even). Recordings are supervised by lead guitar player Dominik who also produced the preceding album "perfectly" (Zillo Magazine).

The album will be called "Gloom is a Trip for Two". The 13 tracks are selected from 28 songs written for the album, thereby ensuring that the established quality of their albums will be retained or maybe surpassed, honouring a sort of "No Filler Policy". Concerning sound we are still between dark rock and gothic metal. Yet unlike with the revenge theme of the previous album, this time "Darkness and Temptation" take the lead roles, and the album is conclusively held in darker, more emotional hues. Nevertheless they wrenched up the hardness, too, therefore leaning more towards Gothic Metal.

"After the wrath and anger on our 2nd album "I am Your Ruin" we were quite keen on introducing some of these rather romantic emotions, as far as our charred insides are capable still", vocalist Daniel explains. "We put a lot of effort into this and improved in all aspects I think. Heavier, tighter, darker! There are some surprises on it, too - we never want to become boring. I have never been that pleased before by an album at this point of production."

Elaborate artwork is ready, too. Release of "Gloom is a Trip for Two" is scheduled for 1st quarter of 2008.
