Techni.Art Hair Trends Bible Report - Hairstyles for Summer 2007
The L’Oréal Professionnel tecni.art team of trendsetting session stylists work at the frontline of international style, on the catwalks of London, Paris, Milan and New York. And so this year we find that women’s hair trends fall into two different categories: masculine and feminine.Thanks to the recent love affair with the feminine, futuristic and femme fatale; well maintained hair, full of youthful and natural vigor is essential. All traces of grunginess have evaporated leaving not one ounce of tease or tangle. Once healthy, glossy and great conditioned hair is achieved, it can be adapted to suit all styles. And if all that healthy living just isn’t your thing, the masculine tomboy is your other alternative - it’s a confident look to the point of being bolshy.
“Whatever the style, it’s a real product season,” says catwalk stylist Luke Hersheson, “Excessive product use – shine spray, setting lotion, gel and wax - it’s all about product that will make your hair do things.”
Band Leaders
Headbands have been flitting around the catwalks for the last few seasons but few of us have been bold enough to wrap it up in real life. This Spring/Summer, a headband is the fastest way to make a statement.
Get the Look:
Blow-dry in tecni.art full volume extra mousse to create a base of volume. Back-brush the crown for height, spray with tecni.art air fix, then collect the hair just above the nape of your neck, twist and pin. Finish by pushing on a thick fabric headband and wear low on your forehead.

Get the Look:
Slick hair back with play ball extreme honey and tightly secure high at the crown. Leave the ponytail to hang straight or iron flat with tecni.art iron finish to give a harder dominatrix style look. Polished pin up
Ever since Kate Moss appeared on the scene the bun has never left the catwalks - she is the fashion icon of our time and her favourite hairstyle is no exception.
Get the Look:
Liberally apply tecni.art texture spray and playball density material to add definition and blow-day roughly with fingers. Gather hair at the crown and twist tightly into a knot. Secure with a band, leaving the ends to gently splay out. To define loose ends, finger through a pea-sized amount of play ball density material.
