swb AG Commissions arvato Systems with Comprehensive IT Services

Systems integrator signs service agreement covering IT infrastructure and additional services with Bremen-based utilities company

(arvato Systems) Gütersloh, Germany – arvato Systems has received a large-scale order following an EU-wide tendering process. arvato Systems will assume long-term responsibility for the operation of all infrastructure and SAP/specialist systems as well as network operation and additional services. The value of the order is in the double-digit millions.

swb provides power, natural gas, drinking water, heat, and telecommunications as well as a variety of technical services and energy recovery from waste to the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven, Germany. The swb Group generated €1.2 billion in turnover in the 2011 fiscal year.

Comprehensive Service Package
swb AG decided to award a service package covering IT infrastructure and various other services. It is intended to allow improvements to IT architectures and operational processes to achieve a reduced total cost of ownership.
