15th ITI Symposium puts green dot on innovative simulation solutions

Dresden, September 7, 2012 – Today, ITI GmbH, one of the global leaders in CAE and system simulation, publishes the program for its 15th ITI Symposium held November 14-16, 2012, at the International Congress Center Dresden. The event titled “Virtual development of energy efficient products” revolves around cross-industry applications of ITI’s simulation software SimulationX. More than 30 speakers from renowned companies and research institutes, such as ABB, BMW, Fraunhofer, Hager, Honda, KIT, Liebherr, Nikon, Schaerer Medical and Veolia present the latest innovations and resource-friendly solutions in transmission, fluid and energy technologies, medical equipment as well as mining and the automotive industry. The accompanying exhibition shows the latest technologies from some of ITI’s partners while decision-makers, engineers and scientists from various backgrounds come together for a lively exchange of ideas and experiences with ITI’s software. The Tutorial Day is an excellent opportunity for users to discuss with ITI engineers how to find the best solution to concrete modeling tasks, but also to learn some first-hand tricks.

The diverse program stretches over three days packed with a well balanced mix of software and technology related presentations from ITI experts and users from the SimulationX community. The software presentations cover several topics on model based design, such as toolchains, new features in the latest SimulationX release 3.5, SimulationX real-time mode, CAD import, MS Office integration and more. Presentations from users put all this in a more practical context. They show SimulationX in real-life scenarios from the automotive industry, fluid technologies, mechanics, drive systems and HiL/real-time applications. New this year: sessions on “Mining and Off-Road” as well as “Green Building and Energy Engineering”. During the series “Mining and Off-Road”, SimulationX users provide insight into simulating, modeling and analyzing mobile machinery, bucket-wheel excavators and belt conveyors. “Green Building and Energy Engineering” focus on developing clean, reliable and efficient technologies for vehicles through to building facilities.

Attendees, in particular those who have never worked with SimulationX before, get the chance to take it out for a test drive on one of the provided demonstration PCs. As part of interactive workshops on the Tutorial Day, ITI engineers and SimulationX developers show off the latest software features and provide guidance for an efficient workflow with SimulationX. A featured exhibition introduces ITI partners and customers with their portfolios and successful projects.

Detailed information about the 15th ITI Symposium and about all registration and exhibition modalities can be found online on www.itisim.com/symposium.

About SimulationX
SimulationX is the benchmark for modeling and simulating complex mechatronic systems. In contrast to other CAE software on the market (FEM, CFD, MBS), ITI provides customers with the capabilities to design and analyze entire systems including all sub-systems on a single platform. Users benefit from a large number of model libraries that work out of the box allowing simulations of various interacting physical effects – from 1D and 2D mechanics, MBS systems and drive technologies, hydraulics, pneumatics, thermodynamics to electronics, magnetics as well as analogue and digital control engineering – post-processing included. More than 700 available element types and over 300 sample models from 25 applications make modeling easier and faster. SimulationX supports the modeling language Modelica as well as Modelica libraries with open and complete CAx interfaces. More information about the product can be found on www.simulationx.com.
