New Research Finds TURNER/FREZZOR Manuka Honey UAF1000+ is More Potent

New research focusing on the health benefits of TURNER and FREZZOR Brand premium certified manuka honey called “Manuka Honey UAF1000+” (Ultimate Antioxidant Factor 1000+) has shown that it can suppress the inflammatory response on a human cell-based assay by 39% compared to just standard manuka honey alone.

According to TURNER New Zealand and FREZZOR New Zealand founder and CEO, Noel Turner, a pioneer and legend of the New Zealand green-lipped mussel industry dating back to the early 1970’s, the results are very encouraging, and we have already seen an uplift in demand. Turner became a prominent figure in the development and export of New Zealand grown and produced dietary supplements and functional foods in the late 1990’s and has been building export markets in the United States, Europe, and China ever since. For the past 37 years, Turner, who grew up in Whanganui NZ, spends much of his time traveling between New Zealand, Europe, United States, and China building businesses.

The research team engaged by Mr. Turner had two projects to investigate. First, they examined Noel Turner’s antioxidant ingredient blend called UAF1000+, a unique and propriety blend of antioxidant bioactives from seven New Zealand plants and minerals on live human cells. This blend was specifically created to increase the antioxidant capacity and modulate the body's inflammatory response and has been used and consumer-tested in the TURNER and FREZZOR collection of products for over 14 years. Secondly, Noel Turner then had the scientists add the UAF1000+ to raw manuka honey to look for any synergistic effect between the honey and the UAF1000+.

What makes UAF1000+ Unique?

The reason why only New Zealand grown plants, botanicals, and minerals are used in the production of UAF1000+ is because of the research that has been conducted over the past 30 years. The data proves that New Zealand grown plants produce far higher levels of phytochemicals and metabolites (biologically active and beneficial compounds) than the same plants and species grown in other regions of the world.

This is due to having a hole in the protective ozone layer above New Zealand, where high levels of ultra-violet (UV) light radiate from the sun and surge unfiltered on our land and into our oceans. What the Research Showed

The research scientists found that when the plant and mineral extracts were combined in a specific way, the proprietary blend called UAF1000+ (Ultimate Antioxidant Factor 1000+) was able to block almost the entire inflammatory response, as measured by the production of the inflammatory marker called interleukin-1b (IL-1b).

Once this initial benchmark was established, the UAF1000+ was then added to manuka honey to again measure the reduction in the inflammatory response. The result was a staggering 39% reduction in inflammatory response with the UAF1000+ infused manuka honey (called TURNER and FREZZOR Manuka Honey UAF1000+) when compared to standard manuka honey that contained no UAF1000+.

The Wellington-based research scientists have confirmed that these results set a new standard of bioactivity for New Zealand produced Manuka Honey. While the health benefits of standard New Zealand manuka honey have been well publicized over the years, this is the first time that blended Manuka honey has been tested and proven to be effective in this way.
