Healing Incurable Chronic Disease

Margaret Straus Grand-daughter of Dr Max Gerson, lectures in the UK and Ireland on the lifesaving nutritional program, the Gerson Therapy.

The Gerson Therapy has successfully healed thousands of patients from a wide range of chronic, degenerative diseases for over 60 years.


September 21, 2005 -- The work of Dr Gerson, has been continued and developed, by his daughter Charlotte Gerson, now in her eighties and in October, Margaret Straus the daughter of Charlotte will be visiting the UK and Ireland to continue their work.

The College of Naturopathic Medicine are hosting a series of lectures and workshops at three venues in Ireland, Galway, Cork and Dublin from 13 – 26 October and six venues in the UK, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton and London from 30 October to 6 November 2005.

The aim of the lectures and workshops are to educate and inform patients, carers and those in the medical profession who are keen to discover healing through optimum nutrition.

The Therapy offers hope to those who have been diagnosed with a wide range of chronic, degenerative diseases such as cancer, emphysema, heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, mental illness and MS

The lecture and workshop will cover Dr Gerson’s personal story, restoring the body’s healing mechanism, understanding the basic causes, result, what and how to follow the Gerson Therapy.

There will be a musical interval performed by Francesca Dego, concert violinist and great grand-daughter of Dr Max Gerson

In the late ‘60s Margaret began importing her grandfather’s book to the UK and due to interest from potential patients compiled a booklet “Vital Information for the UK Gerson Patient”. In the ‘70s she wrote an article about the Gerson Therapy for “Here’s Health” Magazine. She became a sought after lecturer and member of the Association for New Approaches to Cancer (ANAC) and counsellor to many patients and doctors.

One of Margaret’s first British patients was writer, psychotherapist and ex-BBC script writer Beata Bishop, who recovered from metastasized malignant melanoma after following the Gerson program between 1981 and 1983.

In 1993 the Gerson Support Group was set up by Janet Pottinger, a newly recovered breast cancer patient with the help of Beata, with the aim to spread the ideas of Dr Max Gerson and to help and support the growing number of British patients who enrolled on the therapy.
