PostScriptum - "Prophet: Deny" available in retail stores in September 2007

PostScriptum's first album, "Prophet: Deny", will be released in September. These four Norwegian musicians create melodic, melancholy pop/rock with echoes of Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, Muse, and A-ha. The album spans a musical arc ranging from hard riffs to emotional moments.

„We can only play what we believe and that means we have to let our own lives flow into the songs“, Petter explains. „The key is not making the music private, but making it personal. And it is a personal album with our histories and our way of viewing the world.“

The songs that are most important to Petter include one of the most personal: "Departure", an extremely touching song about death. "When we started recording the album, my grandmother became gravely ill. And when we were wrapping up the album, she died. Two absolutely parallel stories. I felt it was important to write a song about this.“ The other song that is particularly meaningful to Petter is „Sound of Home“: „It was the first song we wrote together as a band.“

The band's name derives from the Latin expression "post scriptum," which is a message written at the very end of a letter below the signature. „Yes, and it's a message the recipient should remember for a long time. That's our goal: to stay in your memory. It's the reason we give our all; we want people to think about us.“

That should be no problem at all once people hear the album. The songs on „Prophet: Deny“ are not just refined, profound, diverse and multi-faceted: more than anything, they are unforgettable.
