CUCULUS APPOINTS CLAUS UELLENDALL AS PROGRAM MANAGER FOR SMART HOME SOLUTIONS

Claus Uellendall joins Cuculus from ZyXEL Europe where he was Director of the European Center of Technical Competence and managed technical support of key accounts and internet service providers. His most recent work focused on the development of home control solutions based on OSGi and Z-Wave technology.
Mr Uellendall held various positions during his 10 years with ZyXEL, playing a key role in connecting the company to one of the largest terminal device manufacturers in Germany. Prior to ZyXEL, he held management roles in the development department at ELSA AG where he was appointed as the Head of Development for the Consumer Communications department.

Cuculus helps utility companies to deliver Smart Metering by connecting electric, gas and water meters to ZONOS, a robust IT platform that can be integrated with the utility companies existing back-end systems. The company has developed the infrastructure and products required to support the management of home appliances (“Home Control”) for utility companies and internet service providers (ISPs). The ZONOS platform is open and vendor independent and makes it possible to work with the meters and communication structure of choice. The system is scalable and can be implemented as a managed service or into a running company system environment. This creates the opportunity for a simple and cost effective roll out of services.
