Experienced healthcare leader Andrew Catlin appointed to drive Mindful Healthcare’s mental health and well-being expansion into the UK and RoW

Mindful Healthcare is a highly ambitious digital mental health start-up business offering tailored holistic mental health and well-being services for children and young people. Mindful Healthcare has appointed Andrew Catlin as its new Chief Executive Officer with the mission to build on their success in schools and universities by increasing market share and taking the Mindful Healthcare platform into sympathetic sectors in the UK and globally in public and private healthcare settings.

Andrew is a Healthcare industry veteran who was most recently leading enterprise business growth at Doctorlink, prior to its sale by Eight Roads to HealthHero in 2020. Andrew has grown healthcare businesses in FTSE 100 and Community Interest Companies, before being headhunted for the Doctorlink role. He has an eclectic experience across the healthcare landscape, including digital, criminal justice healthcare, urgent healthcare and primary care.

Andrew succeeds Mindful Healthcare’s former CEO and co-founder, Dr Neil Jarrett, who will remain as a special advisor to the Board.

Mindful Healthcare currently provides immediate access to care through an individualised recovery programme delivered online by therapists and the ‘Mindful bots’ directly to children and young people at school or home. Information is securely stored using Blockchain, giving patient-controlled access to data across therapeutic partners. Mindful Healthcare has invested in AI tools to further streamline processes to maximise treatment time and reduce costs.

The company – founded in Q4 2018 - already has a rapidly growing business in the UK which includes universities, multi-academy trusts and almost 100 schools – helping to meet the needs of teachers and lecturers who struggle to help children and young people in the early stages of mental health difficulties.

The Mindful model is a systems-based approach involving a course of therapy and facilitated learning, engagement and recovery. The personalised 3-9-month Recovery Programme can involve cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred therapy and/or trauma focused therapy.
