All inclusive holidays – Calorie trap buffets

Lazy holidays in the sun: Nothing is more relaxing than lying on the beach while drinking cocktails and feasting on the persuasive holiday buffet. With an all-inclusive reservation, everybody can enjoy various culinary delicacies at all times of the day. Juicy meat, hearty pasta or sweet dessert – all the tasty dishes of the local cuisine tempt holidaymakers to eat considerably more than they normally would. But attention: Calorie traps are lurking everywhere at the buffet. Statistics show that 47% of the tourists gain between five and eleven pounds during their vacation. Those who want to avoid these inconvenient holiday souvenirs can use some easy tricks to ensure that the gourmet-experience does not develop into a weight-trap.

Countries and calories

Most tourists like to enjoy local and exotic delicacies during holidays abroad. The regional cuisine wants to be explored and tasted. The puff pastry with syrup on top adds about 970 kcal to the weight scale. And stay away from American fast food! French fries and burgers are the embodiment of calorie traps.

Conscious eating

Everybody who also tries to keep the beach body after the holidays does not have to starve to stay in shape. Eating consciously, doing physical exercises and sticking to simple rules at the buffet are the right ways to avoid culinary delicacies with pound guarantee.

1) Starving is completely wrong, since it ruins the good holiday-mood and causes sudden and uncontrolled eating attacks.
2) Drinking enough water during every meal is essential, because it reduces the appetite and stimulates the metabolism. But those with a preference for alcoholic beverages have to expect some extra pounds after the holidays.
3) Another method to reduce the feeling of appetite is eating a salad without dressing as starter.
4) For the main dish, fish is the classic low-calorie alternative.
5) Since the feeling of satiety occurs only after about 20 minutes, every meal should be chewed slowly.
