The auction takes place under the large tent at Kaminski Auctions on Saturday, July 14, 2007 commencing at 11 AM with previews on Friday from 10 AM - 5:30 PM and Saturday from 8 – 11 AM. Auction-goers are also invited to a walkaround garden architectural and statuary auction preceding the main auction event at 10 AM on Saturday. The day's offerings combine unique treasures from estates in Swampscott, Wakefield, Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Ashland, Ipswich and a large collection of Victorian furnishings from Lunenburg. Highlights of the sale include a ladies platinum diamond ring with a stunning pear-shaped center stone flanked by baguettes (Est. $7,000 - $11,000); an early 19th Century American Chippendale walnut slant-front desk (Est. $4,500 – $6,500); and a painting by highly collected artist, Emile Gruppe, "The Clammer" (Est. $10,000 - $15,000). Gruppe, originally from Rochester, NY, spent the majority of his career in Gloucester, where he derived inspiration for his depictions of beautiful seaside landscapes and harbors.

The coveted lot of the day is a striking 19th Century sterling silver Tiffany & Co. oval pedestal bowl with an ornate repousse design and a gold vermeil inner bowl (Est. $2,500 - $3,500). There is a 15% buyer’s premium when bidding with Kaminski, or 20% buyer’s premium when bidding with eBay Live.

Enhancing the auction’s diverse selection, additional lots include an early 20th Century Glenwood "Gold Medal" stove (Est. $2,000 - $4,000); a Philadelphia centennial mahogany highboy with brass hardware, circa 1870 (Est. $2,500 - $3,500); and a Quincy Tahoma painting, "Indians on Horseback" (Est. $2,500 - $3,500). This painting showcases Tahoma’s evocative style and captures an intense and visceral moment with bold colors and painstaking detail.
