Lingo24

Lingo24, the New York and Boston-based translation agency, has launched its newest office in Nuremberg, Germany.

The launch is an exciting move for the global company, which already has hubs in the UK, Romania, Panama and the Philippines. It will facilitate the provision of a greater range of services on top of translation between the U.S. and the German, Swiss and Austrian markets.

Lingo24’s Senior Account Manager, Alexander Grellmann, will be heading the German team. “Lingo24 was founded ten years ago in Britain and the U.S. is our fastest growing market,” Mr Grellman said. “Since 2010 sales in America have risen by over 75%. Our next biggest market is the German speaking cluster. In addition to translation, we provide a suite of services from competitor research to search engine optimization, name-checking to creative copywriting. Establishing physical offices in Germany will greatly enhance the trade flow between the States and Germany, Switzerland and Austria”.

Lingo24 operates 24/7 with a bank of over 8,000 professional translators with individual specializations from pharmaceuticals to finance and law, engineering to electronics. American clients include the World Bank, American Express, Bloomberg and MTV, and thousands of smaller companies. Global businesses based in Northern Europe include Lonza Life Sciences, Huppert Engineering and Sennheiser Audio.

Founder and managing director Christian Arno, said: “We’re very excited by this development. We’ve already created streamlined technology to make human translation faster, easier and cheaper. Now with bases in New York, Boston and Nuremberg, we can help build even better links for trade between the States and Europe and provide a more personal service for our German-speaking clients.”

Mr Arno founded Lingo24 fresh out of Oxford University in 2002. He and the company have been featured in leading publications all over the world. Lingo24 has won numerous awards including HSBC’s International Award (2010) and last year made The (London) Times International Track 100.
