Pandemic of the new coronavirus infection has globally altered healthcare systems; however it also helped to identify several systemic issues. Cross-sectoral communication and adoption of joint executive decisions, urgent mobilization of resources, and awareness of worldwide epidemiological threats by authorities of medical organizations are the weak points.
“The unconditional need for changes in healthcare systems has prioritized transformation in provision of medical care, review of treatment algorithms and introduction of new medical technologies”, said Prof. Elena Aksenova, Sc.Dr. in Economics, Director of Research Institute for Healthcare Organization and Medical Management of Moscow Healthcare Department.
International and Russian experts will discuss the main changes in healthcare, review the signs of transition to the model of personalized medicine and disease prevention. Special focus will be on significant changes in the health behavioral models of the population, which, in turn, affect transformation of health systems and work of medical organizations.
Virtual conference will gather speakers from London School of Economics, World Economic Forum, World Bank and others organizations. Russian experts will present the results of new research conducted by Lomonosov Moscow State University, Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Research Institute for Healthcare Organization and Medical Management.
Prof. Marina Sheresheva, Sc.Dr. in Economics, Director of the Research Center for Network Economy at Lomonosov Moscow State University, said: “The world economy and healthcare have entered a period of “pandemic turbulence”.
