30 brands from across the globe have teamed up for the Arbor Day Countdown Calendar. It’s like an advent calendar, but counting down to the US Arbor Day (April 30).
While these companies offer special benefits and plant even more trees during that time, the awareness for World Arbor Day rises, too. Especially in times of massive online shopping, what is better than giving our consumption a green - why not tree-planting twist?
“The Arbor Day Countdown essentially turns Arbor Day into Arbor Month. It helps to plant a lot of trees. And that’s exactly what our planet needs right now", Chris Kaiser, founder and CEO of Click A Tree.
In short, one could say that the Arbor Day Countdown increases awareness for reforestation projects all across the globe, and hence helps to plant hundreds of thousands of new trees.
How the Arbor Day Countdown Calendar Works
Every day, bargain hunters can unveil special deals that not just save money-savvy shoppers some serious cash, but also plant lots of trees, since all participating partners invest parts of their revenues into reforestation projects across the globe.
Partners include lifestyle, beauty and fashion brands as well as food producers, software and app developers. It’s basically “reforesting the planet by shopping online”.
The Arbor Day Countdown runs from April 1 to April 30 and culminates in the Grand Arbor Day giveaway, a sweepstake with dozens of prizes worth thousands of dollars. Participation is free of charge.
