Songwon continues building a robust organization in the Middle East and Africa with the appointment of Anas Nowarah in a leadership position

In this new position, Anas will be responsible for capitalizing on the growth potential in the region and providing technical support to ensure that Songwon’s products deliver performance, productivity and added value to customers.
Within the extensive Songwon portfolio of products, are the recently added Songnox® OPS (One Pack Systems) with their ability to deliver tailor made, consistent solutions in an easy to use dust free pellet form. An additional advantage of these products is that they are not affected by wide variations in weather conditions.
In December 2011, Songwon acquired Additives Technology Greiz (ATG) in Germany, one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of OPS products for the polymer industry. The company also announced a series of OPS manufacturing and commercial JV’s to be located in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. The first manufacturing facility is scheduled to be on stream during 2013. Followed by the second in 2014. Both facilities will have an initial capacity of 7.500 metric tons.

Anas holds a degree in chemical engineering from Amman University in Jordan and has spent the last twelve years working in the chemicals industry in a variety of technical and production roles. More recently he has held the position of Sales and Marketing Manager for Gulf Stabilizers Industries in Saudi Arabia.
