Spectrum Dynamics Medical D-SPECT Belarus
The first specialized cardiological gamma camera D-SPECT manufactured by the Israeli company Spectrum Dynamics Medical has been installed in the Isotope Laboratory with the functions of radionuclide diagnostics of the Minsk Clinical Consultative and Diagnostic Center.

The use of innovative semiconductor detectors based on cadmium-zinc telluride in the D-SPECT gamma camera made it possible to expand its capabilities, reduce the dose load on the patient while reducing the examination time.

The ceremonial launch of the gamma camera took place with the participation of the head physician of the center, Predko Natalya Mikhailovna.

Although the device has just been put into operation and has no analogues in the Republic of Belarus, it is already used for examining patients.

On the new gamma camera, along with the study of the structure of the heart, the identification of myocardial defects, the blood supply to the myocardium is assessed. In this case, stress tests, both pharmacological and physical stress tests, can be used to compare coronary blood flow before and after exercise, dynamic studies can be carried out.
The obtained high-quality images of high resolution, provided by high sensitivity and speed of detectors, allow examining more severe patients, ensuring early diagnosis of coronary heart disease and further optimizing treatment.

The compactness of the D-SPECT gamma camera allows you to place it in a small room. At the same time, it is possible to examine patients with a large weight on it.
