Air disinfection and purification is one of the most effective methods of preventive protection against any viruses and bacteria transmitted by airborne droplets.

At present, the use of air disinfection is especially relevant in connection with the increasing spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, which is transmitted from person to person mainly by airborne droplets when the patient coughs or sneezes, as well as by contact through hands and objects.

Given that there is currently no coronavirus vaccine, adhering to personal hygiene rules, sanitizing rooms and air disinfection are virtually the only way to reduce the risk of spreading the infection.

Ultraviolet does not affect viruses in the human body, but effectively destroys them indoors.
However, as a result of processing the room with conventional ultraviolet irradiators, the air in it becomes dry, an unpleasant smell appears, a large amount of ozone is formed, which is harmful to constantly breathe.
During the processing of the premises, people should not be in it, since ultraviolet can not only cause irritation of the skin, but also lead to burns. You can not look at the source of ultraviolet radiation without special protective equipment, as this can lead to burns to the eyes.
In addition, conventional ultraviolet irradiators cannot operate continuously.

A fundamentally new approach to air purification and the creation of comfortable indoor conditions was given by the invention of the photocatalytic "filter" - a revolutionary product that has no analogues. The principle of photocatalysis, which is the basis of the new air purification system, is based on chemical reactions that take place under the influence of ultraviolet radiation on a catalyst - titanium dioxide. Under the influence of light from an ultraviolet lamp, the catalyst at the first stage of purification forms active radicals that neutralize all nearby harmful substances that make up toxic gases and unpleasant odors. In the second stage, these same radicals form molecules of hydrogen peroxide, known to everyone for its antiseptic effect.

The main significant advantages of photocatalysis:
1. In the process of photocatalysis, harmful impurities do not accumulate in the filter, and under the influence of soft ultraviolet radiation in the presence of the photocatalyst decompose to completely harmless components of the natural air environment.
2. The size of the destroyed particles - up to 0.001 microns! This value is comparable to the size of viruses and molecules and is the physical minimum that can be achieved in principle.
3. Unlike other systems, during photocatalysis, air is cleaned of all harmful impurities, including from viruses and gas pollution.Moreover, the efficiency of cleaning from the latter is 500 times higher than that of carbon filters! The cleaning efficiency has a consistently high rate, independent of filter production.

Unlike other bactericidal irradiators, photocatalytic cleaners are designed for continuous operation and allow the presence of people in rooms without negatively affecting the human body. They differ in almost unlimited resources and a wide spectrum of action, destroying almost any pollutants, have highly effective microbactericidal and sterilizing activity. Cleaners are not a source of hard UV radiation, ozone, nitrogen oxides, do not accumulate toxic components and do not require periodic replacement and disposal of absorbent material.

2. Photocatalytic filter = during photocatalysis, all gas-phase air pollutants (unpleasant odors, toxic gases, allergens, viruses, bacteria, etc.) are adsorbed on the surface of the photocatalyst and, under the influence of soft ultraviolet radiation (range A), are mineralized and decomposed to the simplest, harmless constituents (carbon dioxide, water and atmospheric nitrogen). In the process, pollutants do not accumulate on the filter, but completely decompose, so the photocatalytic filter self-regenerates when used. On the photocatalytic filter, any types of microorganisms are inactivated and toxic chemicals are oxidized.

4. UV-A emitters - ultraviolet radiation activates the photocatalyst.
