Cloud transformation company launches dinServer

LOS ANGELES, CA – May 23, 2012 – dinCloud, a cloud transformation company that provides Business Provisioning of IT infrastructure to the cloud, today announced the official launch of dinServer, hosted virtual servers. dinServer is a key component of the private virtual data center on which a business relies in order to run more efficiently. Customers have the option to self-manage their environment via dinManage, a cloud orchestration and management platform.

“When a business decides to migrate to the cloud, our hosted virtual servers are meant to provide peace of mind,” commented Ali Din, Chief Marketing Officer at dinCloud. “We offer security, redundancy, connectivity, and cloud licensing expertise to customers as part of their Business Provisioning.”

dinServer comes with a fully-encapsulated environment on private and dedicated infrastructure including virtual private firewalls, networking, and storage. dinCloud also assists customers with private links and connectivity. Each customer’s environment is redundant and further supported with regular backups. As with all dinCloud services, the hosted virtual servers have multiple layers of physical and virtual security.

"Trend Micro has been a leader in securing virtualized environments. As a dinStack coalition partner, our relationship with dinCloud extends beyond technical design assistance. With Trend Micro, dinCloud's hosted virtual servers are more secure than a typical hosted server," said Steve Mungall, VP, Channel & Small Business Sales at Trend Micro.

With dinServer (hosted virtual servers) customers can:
• rapidly migrate their infrastructure to the cloud
• spin-up or spin-down servers on the fly
• modify configurations including memory, storage, and compute power
• connect and manage their environment via the web or through web-services
• integrate with Microsoft Active Directory
• directly administer servers with command line access

Customers have the option of running their entire infrastructure on dinServer with self-service or co-managed operational responsibilities.

“We currently run Microsoft Project Server with dinCloud. They helped us with the connectivity, the design and implementation of our infrastructure,” said Doug Conard, Director of Infrastructure, at Think Finance. “The solution enables our company to work more effectively and efficiently by providing a single place for project management, tracking, reporting and collaboration.”

Hosted virtual servers from dinCloud enable rapid time to market, reduce costs, and simplify IT management. As part of its value-add service, dinCloud also helps customers determine which software licensing to apply to their cloud environments in a compliant manner.
