NOCs, Governments & IOCs Convene to Discuss Strategies for Growth

Held under the Patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, the CWC NOCs & Governments Summit will take place on 17-19 September 2012 in Dubai, UAE. The Summit will bring together senior representatives from governments of resource-holding nations and the energy industry to explore the opportunities for collaboration to ensure mutual benefit.

The Summit Director, Hannah Lawrence, remarks that the meeting “offers a platform for governments and industry to work together for the mutual benefit of foreign investors and resource-rich host nations. The early confirmed participation of key players from the likes of Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Nigeria, Kuwait, and Iraq is testament to the importance of these issues and the pressing need for dialogue to ensure enduring growth on both sides.”

The oil and gas industry leaders, governments and regulators will meet to discuss strategies to enhance in-country value through job creation and skills development; local content and capacity building; and innovation and technology transfer to foster growth and development within resource holding nations.
