New Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the EUMEPS Board
EUMEPS announces the election of new members of the EUMEPS board. Mr. Allessadro Augello of Poron was elected Chairman on behalf of EUMEPS section Packaging and Mr. Jos Verstegen of Synbra was elected Vice-Chairman on behalf of EUMEPS construction.Brussels, Belgium, June 01, 2011 -- EUMEPS announces the election of new members of the EUMEPS board. We are pleased to announce that the following changes of The Board were resolved at the General Assembly held on May 9th, 2011, in accordance with the statutes of EUMEPS.
1. Mr. Alessandro Augello has been elected Chairman of the Board;
2. Mr. Jos Verstegen has been elected Vice Chairman of the Board.
The appointees will take up their new roles with immediate effect.
Alessandro Augello, President of EUMEPS Packaging Section, is Technical Director of Poron Group Italy and has been elected President of the Packaging Division of EUMEPS with effect of May, 9th.
Jos Verstegen, President of Construction Section, is Director/CFO of Synbra Holding BV and has been elected President of the Construction division of EUMEPS with effect of May 9th.

The role of EUMEPS is to ensure that the advantages of EPS are brought to a larger audience. This is achieved by information sharing to enable an informed dialogue with stakeholders on a national and European level.

EUMEPS Announcement of New Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Board
During the General Assembly of EUMEPS in Windsor (UK) on May 24th 2016, Mr. Francesco Beduini (Board member LAPE HD srl / Italy), was elected as Chairman of the EUMEPS Board. Mr. Beduini is succeeding Mr. Allard Lohman, at the expiry of his statutory term of office. Mr. Bernhard Hauck (Managing Director Schaumaplast GmbH & Co. EUMEPS Publishes Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)
EUMEPS published a set of Environmental Product Declarations for Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation boards. Data on EPS insulation panels and manufacturing from 24 manufacturing plants in 13 countries was collected in order to establish third-party verified EPDs representative of the whole of Europe. The cradle-to-grave EPDs are based on the most recent version of CEN TC 350 standard prEN 15804 and in accordance with ISO 14025.
