Serenity Radio’s Lockdown Christmas Anthem to Raise Funds

‘Share the love’ this Christmas – This is the message that the Serenity Radio team wishes to impart with their original Christmas charity single, released today, which will be raising funds for St Joseph’s Hospice.

The UK’s first online radio station dedicated to wellbeing was launched mid-lockdown in June 2020, with the aim of raising the vibration of the nation at a time when spirits were at an all-time low. Now Serenity Radio’s Christmas anthem, ‘Share the Love’ will continue the trend with a poignant reminder to everyone to be kinder than ever this festive season.

“The lyrics of this song are so aligned with our beliefs and purpose at Serenity Radio. We started this station with an aim to uplift and support people who had been struggling mentally, physically and emotionally this year. We wanted to give them a space of positivity, a community of kindness and acceptance and place of inspiration,” explains Serenity Radio co-founder Michelle Clarke. “When we wrote this song, we were thinking how difficult this time of year could be for so many, and how important it is that we all do a bit more to be kinder. At the same time, we also wanted it to be a message of hope, reminding people to cherish all they have and believe that next year will be better.”

‘Share the love’ was co-written by Clarke, producer & Serenity Radio technical engineer, Rob Grant and singer-songwriter & Serenity Radio content team member, Shannon Connolly.

Inspired by some of the world’s most memorable Christmas anthems, the team has produced a catchy but emotional song featuring lead vocals by Clarke, Connolly and Craig Richardson, Serenity Radio co-founder, including backup vocals with help from the station presenters.

“It truly has been a team effort and a fantastic creative collaboration. We hope that with this song, we can raise people’s spirits and also encourage donations towards St Joseph’s Hospice to help them provide care and comfort to those currently with life-limiting illnesses” says Serenity Radio co-founder Craig Richardson.

Christmas in Phuket
Phuket, Thailand: Thailand is a 95% Buddhist country so Christmas is not a festival that officially appears in the Thai calendar, but with a large ex-pat community and Thais who love an excuse to have fun, Christmas is celebrated in fine spirit every year - especially in Phuket. In fact, they started playing Christmas carols in Phuket’s Tesco on 19th November which took me by surprise. Then I noticed the frozen
Merry Christmas
’Tis The Season To Celebrate The Annual Festive Tradition Of Refusing To Call Christmas “Christmas.” 68% of Americans say they prefer to be greeted with “Merry Christmas” and not “Happy Holidays” and yet each year the Anti-Christmas Brigade takes to the streets, and takes to the airwaves, to protest against Americans calling Christmas by its name. Why is that? Sometimes the best way to understand why people do what they do is to
