Mobile social community qeep stakes its global claim with 1 billion page views - and targets positive cashflow

Cologne, 24 April 2012 – With more than 1 billion page views per month and 13 million registered users, German startup BLUE LION mobile has sailed through its milestones for qeep, its international gaming and flirting network.

Quality and organic growth remain the highest priorities for the Cologne-based team. The strategy has been rewarded not only with loyal users, but also international awards – such as March's third place in Nokia’s “Create for Millions” contest, in which qeep saw off over 1300 rival apps in the Emotional Closeness category.

Since 2006, BLUE LION mobile's team of experienced mobile pioneers – gathered by founders Christian Schulte and Cornelius Rost – has stuck to its principle of rock solid growth for both its company and its network, and focused strictly on mobile. This year should see it turn a profit for the first time: while other big players try to gain a foothold in the mobile world with free services and acquisitions, BLUE LION mobile is showing how it's done by successfully monetizing qeep right around the globe through advertising and in-app sales.

“One billion page views is a great milestone for our network,” explains Cornelius Rost, Managing Director and Cofounder of BLUE LION mobile GmbH. “But even more important is our strong product pipeline for 2012 and beyond, which puts us in a strong position to maintain and accelerate this trend in the future.”

His partner Christian Schulte adds: “We're already able to gain a significant contribution margin even in emerging markets. Steady improvement in our mobile payment systems and upcoming support of further smartphone operating systems will help us minimize monetization barriers and grow our global footprint.”
