Softing declares development of WiTECK-Stack completed

On behalf of WiTECK - the Wireless Industrial Technology Konsortium, Softing has developed a platform-independent WirelessHART stack which allows the implementation of WirelessHART on a variety of different hardware platforms while maintaining full interoperability with already deployed WirelessHART technologies. The stack was intensely tested with a variety of different system components and field instruments. Thus, the WiTECK’s goals for implementation - robustness, stability and interoperability – were fully achieved.

The released stack is available free of charge to members of WiTECK and can be licensed to non-members via Softing Industrial Automation GmbH which is acting as exlusive licensing agent for WiTECK

WiTECK is an open, non-profit membership organization whose mission is to provide a reliable, cost-effective, high-quality portfolio of core enabling system software for industrial wireless sensing applications, under a company- and platform-neutral umbrella. The organization with its headquarters in Delaware, USA, was founded in 2008 by leading manufacturers of automation solutions and wireless components. The currents members besides Softing are Asea Brown Boveri, Emerson, Endress+Hauser, Pepperl+Fuchs and Siemens.
