This is instantiated with its recent collaboration with an Orlando based major university.
Round Robin Distributor’s new release this week saw a major feature release incorporating the compelling automated contact assignment capability as incorporation to the flagship bundle of features. Contact Assignment equips the users with custom contact teams with the capability to define the business logic well within the team. Users can thereby be added to the team having custom work schedules and capacity inculcating the load balancing potential amalgamating with the powerful round-robin algorithm.
“The requirement first came in from Salesforce education architects struggling to identify products with native contact assignment feature looking to assign program managers and advisors to student contact records for an education client with a customizable set of rules governing the process”, says Kabilan Giridharan, CTO at Mirketa Inc.
Universities looking to automate traditional systems and using siloed systems for managing new admissions, current students, and alumni returning for pursuing courses from the university can leverage the tool’s capability of:
1. Managing Relationship-based Assignment: Mapping advisors to a returning student based on the association from the past data. The configuration allows you to define fields based on which relationship-based assignment will take place
2. Team criteria-based Routing: Define various contact teams for varied stakeholders like counselors, advisors, program managers looking to assign them to a student based on the program enrolled for, campus opted, sports interests, and much more
3. Temporary Default user mapping: Once a team reaches the threshold for assignment in a defined period, the additional items incoming are temporarily routed to a default user from where the distribution takes place in sets of specific intervals
