Berlin, June 04, 2007. marcus evans is setting up a pan-european conference focused on harmonized and standardized corporate-wide business processes “Corporate Process Management” will be held on 24th & 25th September 2007 in Berlin, Germany, and will target among others Directors and leaders of Business Process Management, Quality Management, Six Sigma from leading European companies of all industries. The conference will focus on strategies to improve the business process landscape and achieve most suitable level of harmonization and standardization of processes to lower costs and increase profits.
Although most international companies realized the need for improving processes and implementing corporate-wide processes, in day to day business there is still unused potential and well designed processes which are not accepted and adopted on an international level. The benefits of company wide standardized and harmonized processes are obvious. But the history of BPM is littered with examples of complex and costly implementations, which have failed to live up to the high expectations. Harmonization and standardization would be easy to achieve in theory – if companies did not have to deal with inhibitors like language skills, adaptation and acceptance by the staff, cultural differences, regulatory affairs, and mergers & acquisitions e.g. in outsourcing processes. Additionally there is an inherent boundary – some processes can be standardized company-wide, whilst others have to stay unique at local level.
The pan-european event will present insights how to redesign, implement and optimise corporate processes, how to increase revenue, improve customer relationships and time to market through standardized and harmonized processes. The conference will provide best practices on how to match corporate strategy with corporate processes, which efficient tools and methods of redesign and harmonization can be used and how to deal with natural boundaries regarding outsourcing, local laws, cultural differences, special requirements of business units etc. Attendees will benefit from expert insights into methods on how to achieve lean processes, how to bring streamlined processes to life in order to achieve the promised increase in revenue.
