Savvy Web Women named as Champion Finalist in 2012 Australian Small Business Champion Awards

Savvy Web Women once again been named as a finalist in the 2012 Australia Small Business Champion Awards in the category for Online Small Business.

This is the third time that Savvy Web Women has been recognized as a finalist in these Awards. The first was in 2009, when Savvy Web Women took home the Award for Online Small Business, Victoria.

“The Small Business Champion Awards is Australia’s largest awards program for small businesses. It aims to recognize and raise awareness on the role of small business in Australia and the people that run them. I am extremely honoured for Savvy Web Women to be named once again as a finalist in the Online Small Business category“ explained Wendy Moore, founder of Savvy Web Women.

Founded by Steve Loe, Managing Director of Precedent Productions, the awards aim to provide an opportunity to network, assist in the development of the small business sector, promote standards of excellence, provide entrepreneurs with a tool to improve their business and provide a forum wherein corporate and government sectors can build relationships with small businesses.

The award presentation evening for national finalists, sponsors and dignitaries is scheduled on April 21st at The Westin in Sydney.

About the Small Business Champion Awards

The Small Business Champion Awards was launched in 2007. Developed by Precedent Productions, it originated from the NSW Small Business Champion which was established in 1999. Eligible to join in the program are small businesses in the retail, service and manufacturing industries. To qualify, a business in the retail and service sectors need to have 40 employees or less while that in the manufacturing needs to have 100 employees or less.
