eBuilder teams up with Swedish business consortium to support

eBuilder announces its association with Team Sweden, a business partnership between official actors and industry that aims to advance cooperation and trade between Sweden and China in the transport industry. Team Sweden is comprised of the Swedish Trade Council, the Swedish Embassy and Consulates, Growth Analysis, and Invest Sweden.

Minister Counsellor Jakob Kiefer of the Embassy of Sweden says: “Last year’s signing of the MoU and Action Plan for cooperation between China and Sweden in the transportation sector is a clear signal from official China on the attractiveness of Swedish transportation solutions for China’s current needs of a safer, more effective and sustainable transportation system.”

eBuilder integrates, automates, and optimizes transport-related processes
eBuilder’s cloud-based solutions (called eBuilder Cloud Processes) are tailor-made for companies and government agencies that rely upon trading partner collaboration (value networks). These cloud-based solutions integrate collaborating business partners and their relevant systems so they can exchange information and documents electronically in real time. The Cloud Process’s best-practice configurable business logic and rules automate the decision making in the transport and logistics processes and the execution of the process transactions. In addition, eBuilder’s cloud-based solutions deliver end-to-end optimization, control, and end-to-end visibility throughout the entire value network.

Bengt Wallentin, CEO of eBuilder, says, “China’s objectives in the transportation sector tell us that eBuilder’s solutions are needed now more than ever. eBuilder operates two key transport and logistics business solutions in the cloud: eBuilder Order Fulfillment and eBuilder After Sales (reverse logistics). These provide:

Efficiency in supply chains: eBuilder’s cloud process drive the operation of the supply chains 24/7, executing according to the configured business rules and logic to shorten lead times and maximize throughput. They provide end-to-end visibility so transport and logistics managers can see what is happening in the flow when it happens and can see any exceptions that must he handled manually. Business intelligence reports and dashboards give managers a foundation for more effective logistics operation, planning, and for merging and consolidation, all important boosts to efficiency.

And they provide green and sustainability support: eBuilder enables the business partners in the logistics and transports process to exchange information and documents electronically. This reduces paper consumption. eBuilder hosts the processes in the cloud, which optimizes and consolidates IT usage and makes investing in individual IT installations/resources on which to run these solutions unnecessary. This reduces energy consumption. eBuilder’s business intelligence dashboard provides real-time logistics information, enabling, for example, shipments bound for destinations in the same locality to be consolidated, reducing the number of vehicles on the road. This saves fuel and reduces the release of CO2 into the atmosphere.”

Bengt Wallentin continues, “eBuilder solutions also provide for the physical safety of both personnel and goods on the move: eBuilder’s business intelligence provides real-time information, which allows transports to be rerouted when any disruption is detected.

And of course, data security is of vital importance. All information is hosted and secured by eBuilder in its hosting environment. eBuilder provides focused operational expertise (including advanced data security), robust virtualization of networks, servers, storage, and applications. This provides on-demand scalability, flexibility and security far beyond the capacity and capability of most IT departments.”

About eBuilder After Sales (reverse logistics)

eBuilder After Sales automates, rationalizes, and optimizes the product returns process: return order creation and validations, transportation management, logistics hub management, swap management, service center return processing and diagnostics, inventory/asset management, and claims management.
About eBuilder Order Fulfillment

eBuilder Order Fulfillment automates, rationalizes, and optimizes the logistics and goods distribution flow among buyers, sellers, and sellers’ suppliers, including delivery and dispatch to warehouses, hubs, and customers. It handles everything from data warehousing and business intelligence to booking transport on the web and printing transport documentation and labels. It provides optimized order management, pro-active process monitoring, multi-criteria end-to-end search, and supplier contract management (includ#ing SLA and cost).

Per Portén, Senior Project Manager at the Swedish Trade Council and Project Manager of Team Sweden’s transport initiative in China, says: “We want to show the Chinese government that when it comes to the transport sector, Sweden is the most sustainable, environmentally friendly, safe, and efficient country in the world. And we want China to see that Swedish companies are their best choice for answering their transportation sector needs, both in the short and long term. With its cloud-based supply chain solutions, eBuilder fits naturally into this plan.”
