German Transport Minister Tiefensee opens transport logistic 2007
The Ministry of Transport´s new infrastructure plan envisages investment of over 25 billion euros in measures to improve the quality of the rail, road and waterways infrastructure. “We have to focus primarily on maintaining and improving the quality of the existing infrastructure. In this way we strengthen the economic value of our transport network. This investment plan aims to stop any further deterioration in the substance of the existing network and turn things round towards improving quality,” said Tiefensee. 57 billion euros are to be spent on expansion and new projects in the period from 2006 to 2010. For further information, go to www.bmvbs.de/en/-,2619/EU-Council-Presidency.htm

About transport logistic
The 11th international trade fair for logistics, telematics and transport (12 to 15 June 2007 in Munich) presents the whole spectrum of the transport and logistics industry – telematics, in-company transport and material flow, logistics and freight transport. The fair aims to be a practical forum for information gathering and exchange in the diversely structured field of transporting freight – by road, rail, water and air.
