Oxford, 1st March 2012: The UK office of language service provider Peschel Communications is today celebrating its first birthday. The Oxfordshire branch was launched on 1 March 2011 to extend the reach of the company’s German head office, located in the city of Freiburg. Services are primarily offered for German, English, French, Spanish and Italian, though other languages are available on request. The company has extensive experience in providing language services for a number of specialist fields such as renewable energy, engineering, medicine, law, politics, tourism and many more besides.Marie Crossland, who, after working for several years at the Freiburg office, now heads the Oxford branch of Peschel Communications, affirms that the company has enjoyed a busy and successful first year, acquiring a new base of customers in extremely diverse fields and becoming an active member of networks such as the German-British Chamber of Commerce and the Oxfordshire International Trade Forum. “We are now looking to consolidate on our work to date and to use this as a springboard for making new contacts and establishing further business relationships over the coming year,” Marie explains.
The company benefits from a close-knit team of in-house translators located in both England and Germany, who manage to bridge the physical distance with frequent video and telephone conferences. The in-house team is supplemented by a wider pool of carefully selected freelance colleagues, mainly working in their native countries. Clients therefore have the advantage of dealing with a nearby company that gives them access to a range of top-class linguists across the globe.
