One-Stop Utility Connection Company Launched to Keep Construction Projects on Track

Reducing time to completion for contractors and developers with multi utility connection services from Crown Utilities.
The new business, part of the Crown Group, is headed by joint managing directors Keeley Downing of Crown Energy and Andy Kay, formerly of United Utility Connections (UNC). Keeley and Andy each bring substantial business experience in this sector.
Andy Kay commented, “Under the UNC banner we built a strong reputation for meeting our completion promises and dealing efficiently with technically difficult site issues. Now, as part of the Crown Group, we have access to substantial technical and financial resources for further development.”
Keeley explained how the service works, “We provide a one-stop service with a single point of contact so dealing with separate utility providers is a thing of the past. There is no need to chase and co-ordinate with each primary service provider. We are pro-active in meeting all client needs; from design to installation we can provide a complete package from temporary site supply through to commissioning and energisation of sub-stations.”
In addition to infrastructure construction, the company will undertake related planning and logistical tasks. This can include load surveys and capacity planning prior to site works. They can arrange meter or other service removals, meter installations or relocations. Crown Utilities can even safely and speedily decommission and remove redundant sub-stations or install new sub-stations.
Accredited by Lloyds for water, electricity and gas installations, Crown Utilities is also on the UK Gas Safe Register. As a company, they have also achieved ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 certification for quality, environmental management and health and safety.
The Crown Group has a 65 year pedigree, an enviable growth record and a culture built on customer satisfaction. Starting as a supplier of fuel oils the company now offers a comprehensive range of vehicle and industrial lubricants. Green fuels, including both carbon offset and blended bio-fuels are available. Other companies within the group provide commercial electricity and gas services and a complete telecommunications service for voice/data and infrastructure.

Reducing Adhesion Failures in the Automotive Industry
Plasma pre-treatment is a crucial step for improving the quality and durability of automotive assemblies and components. It enhances the adhesion and compatibility of different materials that are used for encapsulation, printing, or painting processes. By applying plasma to the surface of low-energy materials, it removes contaminants and creates functional groups that increase the surface energy and reactivity. This results in a stronger and more uniform bond between the materials,…
