Davies announces two new appointments with a Chief Business Development Officer and SVP Head of Adjusting & Innovation
Davies, the leading specialist professional services and technology firm, today announces that Glenn Backus has been appointed to the role of Chief Business Development Officer and Tyson Ware has been appointed Senior Vice President Head of Adjusting & Innovation for Davies’ Claims Solutions – US (DCS) core service line.Mr. Backus has twenty-five years’ experience in the insurance industry, primarily from a technology and claims aspect. Mr. Backus started his career at Corporate Systems where he worked with Fortune 1000 employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators to automate processes and deliver risk information to employers enabling them to better manage their risk. Prior to joining Davies, Mr. Backus worked for Marsh, developing claims management and reporting solutions for TPA’s, insurance carriers, brokers, pools and associations.
Mr. Ware started his professional career as a software developer after graduating from Mount Union University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. After years of building software solutions for the healthcare industry, he joined Frontier Adjusters in 2007 as a lead software developer. He joined the ranks of senior management and played a key role in business operations, business development, and information technology. Mr. Ware earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a licensed adjuster in the state of New York and Texas.
In recent months, Davies has made a series of key appointments naming Matt Button as CEO of its North American Claims Solutions arm, as well as announcing James Heath as Group Chief Risk Officer, and Jeff Chang as General Counsel in a move to further strengthen its global leadership team as it continues its expansion in to new territories and to add new domain expertise.
Globally Davies has more than 3,700 colleagues, with operating centers across the UK, Ireland, Bermuda, the US and Canada. The business delivers professional services and technology solutions across the risk and insurance value chain, including excellence in claims, underwriting, distribution, regulation, customer experience, human capital, digital transformation & change management.
