Student Loan Planner Surpasses $1 Billion in Student Loans Consulted

Student Loan Planner announced its team of consultants have advised over $1 billion in student loans. Founded in 2016 by Travis Hornsby, CFA, Student Loan Planner has helped more than 4,000 borrowers with its paid counseling service, along with millions of student loan borrowers who have utilized the company’s free tools and resources.

When Hornsby helped his wife pay off her six figure student loan debt from medical school, he realized there was not a lot of information out there for professionals looking to pay back five or six figures in student debt. Most of the sites that did exist just wanted borrowers to refinance so they could earn a commission. Frustrated with how difficult and confusing the process was for borrowers, he set out to fix the problem. In addition to himself, Hornsby has built up Student Loan Planner’s team to include five other consultants, all of whom hold either the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), or Certified Student Loan Professional (CSLP®) designations.
