Website of Revize Software Systems’ Client City of Covington, WA Honored for Excellence in Public Relations

The City of Covington, Washington and its new website – www.covingtonwa.gov -- are being honored with a Totem Award from the Public Relations Society of America’s Puget Sound Chapter for Excellence in Public Relations Components: Technology.

The City of Covington’s site was developed by Troy, MI-based Revize Software Systems and is yet another laurel in Revize’s growing list of accolades.

“We’re always thrilled when our clients receive the recognition they deserve for their customer service efforts,” said Revize CEO Chuck Panda. For the City of Covington, this award caps a process that began 18 months ago when they turned to Revize for assistance with their online presence. “We severely needed a new website,” said Covington Community Relations/PIO Karla Slate. “We worked closely with Revize and were able to develop a new website within our existing budget and we are even saving $5,000 per year!”

Slate added that everyone involved with the city’s website is pleased. “We’ve received many compliments about the new design and navigation, and our staff is able to make updates immediately from any computer whether in the office or offsite.” The bottom line for Slate is that, “We couldn’t be happier with our new website and the service Revize has provided us.”

Panda certainly concurs. “The entire Revize staff is extremely proud to have played a part in this award,” he said.

The Totem Award is a symbol of creativity and accomplishment for the PR industry in the Puget Sound area. The competition is open to all public relations and marketing professionals in the region, PRSA members and nonmembers alike. The program is designed to recognize projects and programs that demonstrate excellence in PR. The awards banquet will be held on February 9, 2012.
