Status Racing and Vivid Racing Combine to Offer Unique Seats

Status Racing was founded in 2004, bringing to the performance seat market a full line of composite racing seats. After seven successful years of sales and project cars, Status took the step to expand its potential by changing ownership. In April of 2011, Rob Rohn and Dan Mermelstein of Vivid Racing, the well established aftermarket car part distributors, came on board as partners, lending their expertise in business development, sales, and marketing. Status kept their manufacturing process in Washington state.
Chris Venti of Status says, “Rob and Dan can do something nobody else can duplicate online. What we do well is manufacturing. This is a great partnership that will allow us to really show the quality of Status Racing.
With their new website and image, Status Racing allows customers to experience the first opportunity to configure and customize seats to their own specifications.
“We want customers to be able to design their own seat which fits their vehicle theme and tastes. This is not just a show product. With Status Racing’s FIA certification for the Ring seat, this is something targeted for the weekend racers as well,” says Dan Mermelstein.
The Status Racing structure will be broken out into four sections:
Status Standard – ready to ship red, black, blue Ring or Ring GT seats.
“Our goal is to have a turn-key seat that all can afford and enjoy,” says Rob Rohn.
Status Icon – allows customers to go online and configure seats based on material, stitching, logo color, center cushion, and backing. They can be saved to a profile and shared with friends.
Status Limited – collaborating with another brand, seats may be produced in a limited, exclusive amount, numbered, and never produced again.
Status Harnesses – FIA approved three inch with a rotary buckle harnesses in complete package kits of 4pt, 5pt, and 6pt. Offered in red, black, blue, or gray with eye bolts for simple installation.
Providing unique personalized products with safety in mind for each customer is what Status Racing is all about.

Status Racing offers automotive performance seats in a variety of options, one of which is complete personalized configuration and customization to the individual's unique tastes. Manufacturing is in Washington state.
