1 million in one night - wouldn't we all love to make it ? 1 million protective masks !

For the umpteenth time CS4art / CS4 Logistics GmbH has been through the night because of the Covid 19 crisis at the airport! In addition to overseeing and coordinating art logistics shipments around the world, it has been by now since weeks that the security supervision of air freight shipments with protective masks and protective suits, especially from Asia, are at the core of our services.
Managing Director Steffen Loebert, Aviation Security Manager Kai Nissen and Import Manager Markus Messerschmitt were on site from 9:00 p.m. for the arrival of the "China Cargo" craft. Once it had reached its parking position the team started to perform on the almost impossible in the following night hours.

The entire airport operation (the so-called Ground Handling Agents) at many airports is currently operating at their limits due to Covid 19-related staff shortfalls, on the one hand, and due to the large number of incoming cargo aircraft.

Accordingly, the CS4 team with a total of 3 supervisors, as well as 7 truck drivers and packers, plus the Managing Director of the import company worked until Friday at 06:00 a.m. to re-pack of air freight pallets, carton by carton, and to stack on new EURO pallets for the road transport.

Around 6:30 a.m. trucks were able to depart for their journey to one of the central warehouses of the Federal Republic of Germany.

CS4art offers its special services at the airports in Berlin, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Cologne, Munich as well as Liege and Luxembourg - every air freight shipment is accompanied personally by the employees to the plane, X-Ray or other security measures are carried out in security areas, or for fine art (artwork) shipments from German museums in the museums themselves.

Kai Nissen: "Our experience spanning over more than 20 years in this special segment is a guarantee that special air freight shipments will arrive at their destination on time. And: since we personally remain with the freight, the theft rate is zero."
