Samanvaya’11 – IIM Kashipur’s Inaugural HR Summit on December 15, 2011

Keeping up with the traditions of IIM’s, IIM Kashipur, one of the newest entrant in the elite league of IIM’s, is hosting the inaugural event Samanvaya 2011. Samanvya 2011 is a HR summit, aimed at bringing together accomplished HR professionals, academicians and students on a common platform to discuss various issues related to HR and also share best HR practices.

This is the first event of its kind in the state of Uttrakhand, focusing on HR related issues in the state. The theme of the summit is “HR Practices and Organisational Changes”. The keynote speaker at the summit is Mr. Aquil Busrai, a senior HR professional who is currently the Executive Director – HR at IBM India. Eminent dignitaries from the state and professionals like Mr. Birendra Mohapatra, Head HR & IR, Tata Motors, Uttrakhand, Mr. Vikas Jindal, Vice President, Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Devendra Singh, Head HR, Perfertti Van Melle, Mr. Shishir Srivastava , Head HR, Parle, Mr. R.S. Yadav, Senior Vice President, IGL etc.
will be participating in the summit. HR professionals from companies like Bajaj India, Dabur, Titan, Escorts Group, Emami and Videocon will also be part of the panel discussions.

The first batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management at IIM Kashipur, commenced in July 2011. IIM Kashipur is located in the city of Kashipur, district Udham Singh Nagar in the hill state of Uttrakhand. Currently operating from a temporary campus, it is being mentored by IIM Lucknow.

Established by The Ministry of HRD, Government on India, The Indian Institute of Management Kashipur is a new entrant in the elite league of IIMs. The institute is set up with the objective of providing quality management education while sensitizing students towards the needs of the society.
IIM Kashipur started operations from July 2011, with its first batch of post graduate program in management under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow. A rigorous academic program coupled with insights from the industry transforms the students of today into the leaders of tomorrow. The institute aims to be a mecca of learning by garnering synergy with the industrial region and equipping students with the knowledge of the best practices.
