Dallas Bar Association Elects 2012 Board of Directors: Attorney Paul K. Stafford Elected President
The Dallas Bar Association, a 139-year-old professional, voluntary organization comprised of more than 10,000 lawyers in the DFW Metroplex, recently elected its 2012 Board of Directors. Leading the association in 2012 will be Paul K. Stafford, of the Stafford Law Firm, who specializes in complex commercial litigation, business litigation, labor & employment and insurance law. Mr. Stafford is a 1994 graduate of Texas Tech Law School.Other officers serving on the Board are as follows: President-Elect— Sally Crawford of Jones Day; First Vice President—Scott McElhaney of Jackson Walker L.L.P.; Second Vice President—Brad Weber of Locke Lord LLP; Secretary/Treasurer—Shonn Brown, of Locke Lord LLP; Immediate Past President—Barry Sorrels of Sorrels, Udashen & Anton.
Directors include: Jerry Alexander, of Passman & Jones, P.C.; Chip Booker (President, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers), of Haynes and Boone LLP; Frank Carroll, of Cox Smith Matthews Inc.; Victor Corpuz (President, Dallas Asian American Bar Association), of Jackson Lewis LLP; Rob Crain, of Crain Lewis, L.L.P.; Laura Benitez Geisler, of the Geisler Law Firm; Lori Hayward (President, J.L. Turner Legal Association), of the Law Office of L.J. Hayward; Honorable Martin Hoffman, of the 68th District Court; Michael K. Hurst, of Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank, LLP; Michele Wong Krause, of Wong Krause & Associates; Karen McCloud, of Karen D. The Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas have concluded the annual “Equal Access to Justice Campaign,” which funds the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program in order to provide free legal assistance to over 4,000 low-income families with civil legal needs each year. The lawyers of Dallas raised a record-breaking—$834,000.
