Red Comet Accredited Online High School Learning Program Free for Home Schooled Students in WA State

Red Comet’s Accredited Online Learning Program for High School Credit Retrieval and Credit Enhancement is now FREE for Home School high school students and private high school students. Red Comet Offers Self-Paced Online High School Courses to all Students in the United States and Several Other Countries. These Courses are Tuition-Free in Washington State.

PROSSER, WA – Dec 5, 2011 – Red Comet (www.redcomet.org) announced today that its accredited online learning program for high school students is available for free to all home schooled high school students in the State of Washington. The only requirement is that the home schooled student is a qualified resident in the State of Washington.

Also, students who are currently attending private high schools may take Red Comet courses for free if they are qualified residents in the State of Washington. Red Comet offers a wide variety of core as well as Elective courses to choose from. Private high schools can partner with Red Comet to offer the courses that the private school is currently not offering. Their students can benefit from this extended curriculum to earn credits in courses that are not currently offered at their private high school.

School staff can directly log into the Red Comet platform to view the performance metrics of their students. School staff can also proctor tests and have a clear view on a student’s progress and performance in a course. They will receive periodic updates from Red Comet whenever their student completes a milestone. Schools will also be notified in the event of persistent student inactivity.

“With the pending cutbacks in education funding, many parents are left with few resources that they can use to teach core subjects to their students. In some cases, parents feel ill-equipped to teach advanced high school courses – especially in math and science. Also, many homeschoolers do not have easy access to elective courses.
