Tall Sequoia Gallery

Tall Sequoia Gallery

As many find themselves struggling financially during this unprecedented time, artists are the cohort that is probably the most affected by COVID-19 pandemic. Having a hard time making a living during even the peaceful times, the time of hardship as we have it today has unprecedented impacts on Artists' financial well-being.

"We understand how hard it is for Artists to survive during this time. Promoting your art and your brand requires some sort of financial investments, and often this investment adds up to hundreds and even thousands of dollars for already struggling artists", says Natalia Ros, the founder of Tall Sequoia Gallery - an online gallery that is trying to make a difference.

Ros is herself an artist and knows first hand how expensive it can get to market her art practice to make even one sale.

"When I myself started my artist career, I was apalled to realize that in the first 3 months more than $500 was gone in order for me to get my art out there!" says Ros.

Tall Sequoia Gallery (https://tallsequoiagallery.com) is a fruit of a thought process that began with one question "how can I make it better?" It was created with the goal of providing more affordable artistic opportunities to artists and photographers around the world, thus aiding artists' efforts in marketing their art and brand with less upfront investment. The timing could not have been better as shortly after its launch, the novel coronavirus COVID-19 started ramping up around the world shutting down economy after economy and causing many physical art galleries to temporarily shut down, therefore canceling hundreds of artistic opportunities.

Today, Tall Sequoia Gallery prides itself in what it has become.

"We differentiate ourselves by the degree of our professionalism in our presentation, services and communications, and can proudly say that we are probably one of the most beautiful online galleries out there".

With many types of artistic opportunities, Tall Sequoia Gallery's mission is "to support Visual Artists & Photographers by offering artistic opportunities aimed at establishing or enhancing an already established presence within the Global Artist Community."

Some of the offered Calls for Artists include participation in online Art & Photography Exhibitions (most of which use 3rd party jurors to determine award winners), Artist features which can be done either in the form of an engaging article or a social media post, Artist residency which provides an opportunity to have a solo exhibition and sell art on the Gallery's website, and more. And what is best about all of this is that most of these services are either free or require a small entry fee (which usually can be waived with a promo code or via a referral service).

"We want to be the gallery of choice for Artists & Photographers, and we are doing what we do because we love Artists and understand their challenges".
