Brosix Private Network Feature Combats Growing Corporate Privacy Fears
Brosix’s Private Network feature is just one of the many Brosix Enterprise attributes that are solely available to enterprise customers. The Private Network feature was created to give customers peace of mind when it comes to the growing concern of online privacy, especially when it comes to confidential files and information.
The rising cost of compromised files is larger than ever-- according to IT news publication eweek.com, “the average cost of a data breach for an organization went up for the fifth year in a row, to $7.2 million, Ponemon Institute found in its sixth annual data breach report.
Total cost is not the only thing that went up, as the average cost per compromised record increased to $214, according to the 2010 data breach report released by Symantec and Ponemon Institute...”
In order to counteract these costs, using the private network feature allows businesses to create their own instant messaging network, which ensures that only authorized users can join the network, thereby limiting access to file transfers and instant messaging conversations. Network administrators are the only ones that can set user permissions, track conversations, and add or remove users to the network.
