OnCell Systems and Museumwise Announce Mobile Technology

A new mobile technology partnership is now in place between OnCell, the leading mobile tour provider and Museumwise, a museum association based in Upstate New York. Since 1971, Museumwise has been helping people in museums and historical organizations in upstate New York to more professionally preserve and present history and make it relevant to their entire communities.

Catherine Gilbert, Executive Director of Museumwise, says “Museumwise is delighted by the opportunity to partner with OnCell, a well-regarded resource for mobile technology by New York’s museums.”

Museumwise has close to 300 members, thirty percent of which are represented by individual members, and the remaining seventy percent are organizations such as museums and historic sites, vendors and service providers. Museumwise members have the opportunity to take advantage of the full range of training, networking, and collaborative project programs that Museumwise sponsors.

This new business discount can be applied to any of OnCell's mobile tour services, including cell phone tours, mobile web tours, mobile surveys, mobile giving, smartphone Apps, and text messaging.

OnCell and Museumwise will also work together to provide mobile technology solutions for Museums in Conversation -the Annual Conference in partnership with the Museum Association of New York. The conference is the largest gathering of New York’s museum staff and board members, volunteers and friends.
